We introduce stories that submerge us in a magical vision of life and nature. Which describes the world better? The poetic vision of the old tales or modern science? We discover ‘Ponyo’, ‘Princess Mononoke’, or ‘Spirited Away’, all extraordinary films through which we experience the magical Japanese vision of nature and the beings (Kami) that inh abit it. The films of Hayao Miyazaki bring the magical and spiritual into the real world for our delight.

One morning Sosuke, a five year old boy, encounters a goldfish that he will call Ponyo. In spite of the adversities they face, Ponyo is determined to become a girl and stay in our world.

During her family's move to the suburbs, a sullen 10-year-old girl wanders into a world ruled by gods, witches, and spirits, where humans are changed into beasts and magic is everywhere.
13 to 15 years old
Workshop: We will animate ‘kodamas’ or ‘forest spirits’ using the Stop Motion technique.
“Princess Mononoke”, Hayao Miyazaki. 134 min.
On a journey to find the cure for a terrible curse, Ashitaka finds himself in the middle of a war between the Gods of the forest and Tatara, a mining colony. In this quest he also meets San, the Mononoke Hime.

*All programmes include an educational booklet, a creative workshop and an exhibition of the students’ works.
